The experience

Every canter we run carries one group, and one group only. Whether it's a team offsite or a joint family trip, the whole vehicle is yours.

The standard canter experience in Ranthambore means twenty seats sold individually to twenty unconnected people, which is exactly as good as it sounds. We do not do that. When you book Group, the entire canter is blocked for your party — so the noise level, the pace, and the conversation are yours to set. For larger parties we run multiple canters in convoy with coordinated zone requests, so your group stays together through the drive. It is the only way we have found to take twenty people into a tiger reserve without the experience quietly collapsing into a bus tour.

Canters are open-topped and seat twenty. Parties larger than that run as a coordinated convoy of vehicles.

Corporate bookings can be invoiced with full GST documentation — tell us at enquiry so we set it up correctly.

Give us as much notice as you can. Blocking multiple canters into the same zone on the same drive takes advance planning.

Zone allocation is made by the Forest Department. We request matched zones for convoys but cannot guarantee them.

Safari zone availability shifts by weekday: on Tuesdays only Zones 1–5 operate, on Wednesdays only Zones 6–10 operate, and every zone is open on the other days.

Ranthambore's core zones (Zones 1–5) are generally closed for safaris during the monsoon, usually 1 July to 30 September, while the buffer zones (Zones 6–10) remain open.
