About the place
A valley of broken rock and scrub on the park's outskirts — Ranthambore's most reliable leopard country, and home to its sloth bears.
Kachida sits on the periphery of the park, a landscape of low hills and rocky outcrops quite unlike the lake zones. Leopards avoid the areas of highest tiger density and concentrate here, which makes this the most reliable leopard country in Ranthambore. Sloth bears are seen here too, along with chinkara and a good spread of raptors. Terrain-wise it is the most dramatic driving in the reserve.
